Tucson New Horizons Band & Strings

Thank you to all who attened our Fall 2025 Concert on Sunday, December 14th.

Tucson New Horizons is a chapter of the New Horizons International Music Association. New Horizons Music programs provide entry points to music making for adults, including those with no musical experience at all, and for those who used to play in school music programs.
The Tucson chapter was founded by University of Arizona music education faculty member, Dr. Matt Williams, who serves director of the Advanced Band. He is assisted by Associate Director, Dr. Barbara McLain, a retired music education professor. Our groups are open to adults –near or over the age of 50 –and meet weekly during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. So whether you have always wanted to play an instrument, but never had the chance —-or you used to play and instrument, and haven’t played in a long time– we would love to have you join us. All you will need is a positive attitude!
NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!
Past members that are interested in participating in upcoming semesters are asked to please check in with your director or send a message via the Contact Us page.
